Shared Accommodation

I see from other posts that many 60+ people are working beyond retirement. I didn't grow up in the UK though I am English. I spent most of my life in South Africa and Zimbabwe and then once I graduated and had taught in both those countries, did overseas contracts in a variety of foreign places. I wasnt very provident and did not do practical things such as buy back pension when I was younger even though I had several years in the UK, I therefore don't qualify for a pension but I am healthy and active and have found live in care work rewarding over the last 4 years. My only problem is affording a decent base in the times I have free. I have been looking at house sharing but often it is very expensive and the house sharers are much younger. Is there a site where one can find others who are 60+ or live alone and would like to share with another person. It is diffiult to volunteer to share and look after as I need to earn a living so I am not home much but just a place to base myself would be nice. I am not that worried about location as long as it is in a congenial environment with private space.
