I am retired now and am planning to drive from the UK to Ragusa, in southern Sicily, at the end of this summer and stay and rent somewhere for a month or two - at least!

It would be great to share some - if not all - that time with a companion - so if you think that you may be interested then it would be good to hear from you - thanks - Peter

Good for you, Peter. I go regularly to Selanunte. Everything about Sicily is wonderful and you’ll have a marvellous time. The only bit that I’m not so good at is the traffic islands…a case of hand on horn and toss oneself in, as everyone else seems to do.

Well it’s well worth a visit…one of the largest acropolis sites in Europe and nearby, the quarry, some columns in the process of being hewn from the rock, that you can walk behind as if you were the stonemason. Simply fabulous. I hope your trip is memorable.
