Side effects of The Jab?

I had my first Covid jab yesterday and can't believe how many "side effects" I've developed: a lovely fat grey arm, raised temperature, headache (and how!), joint pain, loss of taste (golden syrup tastes as bitter as crushed-up aspirin, and coffee tastes like burnt dog-poo probably smells...!). I'm sweating and have a sense of being "distant" from my environment. I've got intermittent backache, toothache and that good old standby, extreme tiredness. T

here doesn't seem to be anywhere on this site to discuss this - that's why I'm starting a new thread.

Please forgive me if I've missed an obvious discussion elsewhere, but I'm not quite myself today!

Anyone else experienced this? If so, how long did it last?

Leadfoot82, loved your doctor's comment that all humans are like snowflakes - I believe that's American-speak for what we call "nutcases" here in the UK. Yes, welcome to the green planet, populated by snowflakes. That's made my day.

Hi - I was unwell for a whole week and the doctor did warn me - perhaps because I had mentioned allergies or reactions I'm not sure. It was rather like a mild case of the flu but no temperature. Just hoping the 2nd vax isn't the same. I'm 67.

I'm sorry you're suffering but I've now had my two jabs and apart from a bit of discomfort where the jab was have had no side effects at all.

Wow! So sorry to say Molly, that I'm an 83 yr-old Yank who had both of his shots (jabs) almost without incident. A little sore around the site for two days after the second one. I had the Pfizer vaccines. But my good friend who is my age,and had the same vaccine, said he was "tied up in knots" for a "few days" and really felt rough during that time, so they certainly hit people differently. My old doctor who is now gone, used to tell me; "yes, people are like snow-flakes-no two of us critters are exactly alike" And I guess these vaccines really bare that out, don't they? Hope you are now doing O.K. without any residual nasties!
