Songs sung to me as a child

My Dad used to sing a song to me in the fifties called 'My special angel' and he led me to believe he made up the words. It was only about 4 years ago that I found out it was an actual song but I still love it.

I don't remember being sung to but my dear dad loved holding babies who he gently rocked in his arms and always quietly sang There is a green hill far away.It is usually only sung at Easter time now but always reminds me of my dad.

My Dad used to sing the Soliliquay from Carousel. He died in 2008, it brings back many memories.

I come from a musical family, my Mum's sewing machine was a Singer, my Dad could play the fool and, our dog used to hum

Neither of my parents sang to me although my father would take out his accordion if we refused to sleep!
