State of our economy

How can the chancellor sit there having borrowed more money than ever and tell us we can't afford things? He has just realised aircraft carriers need planes costing £12 billion (oh we must be going to have a fight abroad (AGAIN) Got no money for NHS or police (don't worry about the fat cat pay offs) just keep on he lower ranks pay down and get them to do more.

Government dept cut backs And perks? All that is hidden in fog. Large companies pay their tax? No let's chase the low paid workers - yes they are getting a new wage rate but have you forgotten MPs rise how much was that? After all they said about the debt they were left by labour it's time to forget that and get a grip on the real things that matter to the average person and then from their ivory tower maybe they will have some credibility in the streets. What are your views on government spending?

Well it's over and done now did the chancellor ever have the police and child credit on his list or was it all a big spoof.Lets send more money to China to help them play football and to African countries to study the amount of gas a cow expels when it passes wind our services don't need the money and upping the council tax is a cert no council will turn down the chance to do that so that's 4per cent rise next year and the following year now the council have got the taste it will go up more. The best labour could do is throw an outdated red book across the table, some opposition.

I agree with your last sentence redskins. For the shadow chancellor to be so weak (plus his leader) is a danger to the UK democratic process. I cannot believe he threw the Little Red Book down-written by a maniac who killed millions of people and caused untold misery. Surely these politicians think before they do certain actions and it would have been obvious the public and media would have centered on the Red Book
