Staying Strong After 50

After spending 10 years as a coach in a training facility, I am looking to provide resources to the over 50 demographic based on my experience and knowledge. I currently run the "Legends Fitness" program which consists of people over 65 and based on my experience, it is never too late to get started. My question to all...Is staying strong after 50 important to you? Also wondering what people do in their 50's to stay strong?

Hi, I'm 67 and until about 3 months ago I dared to continue going to the cross-training gym I've belonged to for about 4 years. I now keep fit at home - invested in a C2 rower, pull-up bar, and a couple of other very small assists. Then I do my pushups, sit ups, and planks. It's not nearly what I'm used to but the truth is, I think the cardio from the rower makes up for a number of other things I miss. Not sure I'll hit the gym again but I'd love to maintain contacts with fitness lovers here.

I worry most about my balance frankly. I hate Turkish getups, but truth be told they're awesome for balance.

I work as aPT in a gym and have a number of clients >50. I always tell them they are their own benchmark and to improve on that.

How do you define 'strong'?
