I watch television and I do not know what a depressing advert is,there are some annoying ones, but depressing --no.

Ad breaks are ideal for comfort breaks or making a cup of tea or drink of choice.
As for common sense one of the first things our lecturer taught us is they no such thing as common sense ,my sense is not your sense and every one is individual.
Depressing ads -No . Judgemental people - Yes
