UKPC

Anyone come across this private parking company. Sent me letter demanding £90 for not showing blue badge. I did display it but it must have fallen off when I opened car door. They asked for proof then said it would be £15. I disputed this but they're not backing down. I know they can't prosecute but apparently they put it on your credit record. What really infuriates me is that it happened once before and the proper authority accepted my explanation. I'm waiting for a hip replacement and am awkward getting in and out of car at the moment.

I have sympathy with you, after leaving my sons car the badge fell on the floor, I disputed it and was let off, I think you are being let off light with £15, I know thats still a lot of money but I would pay it as I had to pay for not displaying mine on a hospital car park, I was parked in a disabled spot and just forgot as I knew I had to pay for parking, I just didnt give it a thought till I saw the ticket, it cost me a reduced fee of £35.

I'm just furious that the legitimate people ie traffic wardens accepted my explanation but these private companies won't!
