UPGRADING TO WINDOWS 10

Whilst I am generally pleased with the change up from WIN 7 to WIN 10 there were a few things that were problematical ... the first was that my wireless dongle ceased to work leaving me unable to connect to the internet ... I had to run an Ethernet cable to the router to get back online and research the problem ... many people had the same problem ... there was nothing wrong with my wireless dongle but now it was incompatible with WIN 10 ... I do not wish to advertise the make of the new dongle that is compatible in case that is against FORUM policy but if anyone wants to know then send me a PM ...

The dongle I use is quite old in fact must stop being a tightwad and get a new one. If you install the drivers using compatibility mode the chances are it will work. I use lots of old equipment by doing this.

Tried that Fred but because I have a new dual band router it didn't work.
Will try what you said with any new issues though ... thanks.
