Viewing The International Space Station in your area
Watch this postout. out. out. out. International Space Station. (ISS) Over 240 mi high Travels at over 17,ooo mph. The space station looks like an airplane or a very bright star moving across the sky, except it doesn’t have flashing lights or change direction. It will also be moving considerably faster than a typical airplane (airplanes generally fly at about 600 miles per hour; the space station flies at 17,500 miles per hour). The following info is sort of instructions related to the 'spot The Station' chart. The chart will tell you the date and time the International Space Station (ISS) will be visible at your location. Go to the NASA site and then the Spot The Station area and choose your country, state, and city. Sometimes, the ISS is visible early in the AM just before sunrise and sometimes in the PM,after sunset. Of course you need to have clear sky to view it. you can also sign ip for an email alert when the ISS will be visible at your location. Then when it is visible in your location, put out your lawn chairs in your front (back) yard, turn off your TV and/or computer, make a few 'adult beverages' for you and your spouse, partner, friends, neighbors and sit back and enjoy the show. And it's FREE! The NASA site probably explains it better than I have, so check it out.
