What do you think of Starmer's leadership of the Labour Party?

Do you think he is doing a good job?

I am surprised that no one seems to mention the influence of the popular press in UK. Those tabloids with the highest circulations are all very right wing and assisted in the anti Mr C campaign and vilification as did that bastion of the left the Guardian. How then was anyone to obtain reliable information without a great deal of effort on either of the 4 parties and their manifesto/election promises? Promulgating a general election as a ramification of the leave eu campaign was blatantly manipulative. Non conservatives should have campaigned on NO MORE cuts to the NHS, fund the NHS, Save the NHS and workers rights. They couldnt get a word in edgeways in the uk media.

All these comments about 'right-wing members and left-wing members', just shows how divided the Labour party is. How can they expect the public to vote for them when they don't seem to know themselves what they stand for?
Starmer hasn't brought the party together. In the recent by-election, he seemed to think people would vote Labour as a matter of principle, no matter what their policies are.
Part of the reason why our country is in such a mess is because of Tony Blair and his idealism. The public don't forget so easily!

I don't think so. Of all the MPs from all parties there was no one more determined to ignore the result of the Brexit referendum , like it or not it was the decision of the majority,

I can understand your frustration with the UK press. The Papers corrupt political thinking. It is a pity that editors have to be motivated by sales and not boring old things like the truth.

Things will not change, but we can at least consider the UK is by-and-large a democracy and, let`s face it, there are tens of thousands of foreign people who would like to live in Britain.

I am politicly ambivalent, but centre ground. I like Sir Kier Starmer for his socialism and his intellect. I like the fact that Johnson won so many Labour seats and now has to do the right thing for the left wing voters who, as he said "have lent me your vote". If he doesn't do the right thing he knows he will be the first right-wing leader to lose them.

............but do let`s be a little patient. Johnson has been coping with Brexit while having the biggest threat to the UK economy EVER. I don`t like his Old Etonian cronies either.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL (even the bloody fools who cant see my point of view !)

I think Starmer was awarded his knighthood for good socialist reasons.

Jeremy Corbyn did wanders for the Conservative Party. Kier Starmer was such a gentleman in his obvious dislike of Corbyn`s left-wing ideas.

There is have a fascinating situation in British politics. Boris Johnson has thanked many Labour voters for "lending" him their vote, so he certainly does not want to be the prime minister who lost them. He will have to redress the balance between North and South before the next election.

As a pragmatic voter, I do hope Johnson`s lust for power helps level the economy of Britain. I do think that Starmer is the best leader of the Labour Party for many, many years.

Jeremy Corbyn had made Government do the most u turns so was a good opposition. The left wing polices were what people wanted and Jeremy Corbyn very close to winning 2017 election were it not for the right wing in the party who went out of their way to sabotaged Labour chances All was revealed in the Labour Leaks Report. Starmer paid off these right wing saboteurs and brought them into his shadow cabinet.

Starmer has abstained on important legislation namely the spy cops bill and was named Mr abstainer and Mr Hindsight. And worse was him backing Johnson bad deal when doing so would then be unable to hold him to account, as he supported the deal. He did not have to whip his MPs to vote for this as the Tory party has a majority so it would have passed without Labour backing.

Johnson has the most corrupt government ever He gave billions to Tory backing private firms without tender cronyism for PPE and Test and Trace who have not delivered when he could have given contracts to local health authorities.

And if you think that he will keep his promise, he is a know liar and level up north and south, with 10 years of Tory austerity already and corruption that is wishful thinking.

I think that if he had been leader of the Labour Party, the election results would have been very different.

For instance do you think that it is right that he is targeting the left wing Jews for Labour?

Suspending members not letting CLP discuss Corbyn's suspension and refusal to restore the whip?

Do you think the right of the party just want rid of the left who don't back them and that included the many thousands who joined Labour because of Mr Jeremy Corbyn?

Do you think this is the wrong way to lead a Labour Party which is supposedly there for the working man? KS was elected as a unity candidate Is this more like disunity?
