What hobbies ????

Since retiring I find myself at a loose end sometimes. Apart from reading and doing crosswords I have little interest in anything else hobby wise Not being very artistic I find it difficult to find anything that isn't artistically based I would like to do something on the computer, but what ? I have tried the family tree route and I do some crosswords online Any ideas and suggestions would be welcome

I’ve just spent the morning looking at the list of 100s of Adult Education classes in my area. (Pensioner discounts too). From 2 hour talks by various professionals/historians to languages, to getting the most out of your mobile phone… on and on. I’ve also just started volunteering at a car museum. My mechanical knowledge is zero! but the lovely people there seem grateful for my enthusiasm of cleaning vehicle windows and dusting vehicle bodies and keeping the area ship shape while they are knee deep in engine grease. What a lovely gentle bunch of folks there.

My interests are gardening and motorcycling. I have just sold my Honda Varadero and looking for something to take fun short trips on.
I would like to meet up with any ladies on bikes for ride outs together when I get my next second hand one. Or even meet up at a cafe or garden centre for a coffee with anyone who hasn't got a bike but could put up with me in my gear.
Not sure
this is the right place for this post any advice appreciated.

I don't have many hobbies. I'm really into coloring since it's easier and doesn't require any skill.

I have always been sort of artistic and when my husband died I started doing loads of different stuff and started a craft group, now in its 11th year, 21 members and have great fun. I paint, sell my pictures in a local farm shop gallery, like polymer clay and make beads and figures, crochet too and some knitting although that is not favourite. My all time favourites are reading and computers. See, having so many hobbies I can flit between them and not get bored. I broke my leg last year which put me in a moody frame of mind but out the other side now and looking forward to my 7 year old grand daughter coming for a sleepover tonight in my little mobile home. Try lots of things till you find out which you enjoy most. A camera opens up new worlds, oh, I forgot, I do that too and birdwatching at our local nature reserve, wish it would stop raining so I can go more often. Sorry to be boring, just joined today, and love a forum.

I play chess, scrabble, word search etc on my kindle. A bit of light gardening. Lots of gentle walking. Having long lunches with friends. In the summer I go on day coach trips. A lot of local collages and community centres have day and evening classes for all sorts of thing. I have done yoga, sewing for beginners, dancing, Christmas cooking, lots of things.

I have done the Mystery PI hidden object games and also the Murder She Wrote games. I don't like ones where you you have to go in and out of rooms back and forth to find the objects.

What about a bit of sewing? I have joined my local evening classes and had great fun... learned how to appliqué, make cushion covers and then a bag. I have now made a fancy dress costume and an easy skirt for myself, so really enjoying it. Bought a sewing machine 2nd hand, so not too expensive, and getting to know my helpful local haberdashery shop.

What about swimming, or you could start a bit of gentle running, cycling, potholing (I still do a bit myself) hillwalking, photography, writing, hang gliding, freefall parachuting, scuba, or a thousand other options.

I used to knit quite a lot but haven't done so for years
My daughter got crochet out yesterday so maybe I will take a look at doing that. Thanks

You can do a lot on it like pay chess with others. I find one of the most interesting sites is Wikipedia where I spend hours learning about amazing subjects I knew nothing about

I quite like hidden object games but can't find many that don't want you to solve the mystery as well.
