What is your go-to comfort snack?

My comfort food is usually bread-based (I reduce the carbs in other meals to make up for the surge!). Cheese & bananas on toast: Slice bananas onto dry toast - you can butter it but why gild the lily? Slice mild cheese over the bananas (eg, Edam, Gouda or red Leicester). Grill until melted. Can be topped with another slice of toast, but why gild the etc etc...? An exquisite cream tea sandwich (not very healthy, but when you need one, you need one): Spread strawberry jam on a piece of soft white bread. Top with whipped cream (or gunk from a squirty can if you're that desperate). Put another slice of soft white bread on top. Don't bother to cut it, just smash it into your face. Luvverly!

I feel better just for talking about it. Have a nice day.

Great question!

It's a banana sandwich for me. It's got to be chunky white bread with butter and the banana has to be mashed.

I used to love it as a child and I still love it now!

Molly, your post made my day: I am still chuckling over it lol My go to comfort food usually consists of bread but more savory than sweet but will be trying this. I'll even smash it into my face!!!!!!
I hope to see you here again for more enlightening, inspiring conversation 😉
