Whist and other events in Village Halls

Many older people and some young love a game of cards - usually in a village hall.

I can find nothing related to regulations concerning groups of people having a game of whist in a village hall.

For that matter - jumble sales, flower shows etc.

Where can I find information?

The trustees of the village hall have to ensure that it is Covid secure i.e. that all chairs and equipment are cleaned properly after use and that the hall only allows in the number of people who can be seated at the correct distance apart. This could be difficult with a card table. The government has got guidelines on-line re community halls etc so it would be worth starting there. I think that one of the rules for card games or Scrabble etc where many people will be handling the cards or tiles is that people have to bring and use their own hand sanitiser.
