Hi everyone,l have not received my winter fuel payment or letter todate Monday 11-01-2021 but sometimes miracles can happen, phoned the 0800 731 0160 this morning and anyone who has tried this number knows you hang on for ages, well after l got thru to them l was as normal put on hold and told someone would speak to me shortly when an operative was available.
So put the phone on speaker and waited almost 30 minutes and to my surprise, someone actually spoke "can l help you" l was gobsmacked after picking myself up off the floor l actually conversed with this loverly guy who took all my details and then said that he had passed the details to the payment office and l would receive the money ( paid into my bank acc ) within 2 weeks or less.
So don't despair folks you have to keep trying, this is my first post on this site hope it was not too boring

Hi Mike could you give me the telephone number of the winter fuel allowance customer service telephone number. I tried calling the telephone number on my friends notification that she would be receiving the fuel allowance but they just cut me off and told me to go to the website. I know it usually goes in automatically but I’ve not received it and I’ve not received a letter either.

Hi,, I have always received payment in the past with no problem. It should be automatic ( Hmm )
This year ,, no letter , no payment , called to speak directly and went through LOTS of questions only to be told I have not passed security. Was told to speak to another department , lo and behold I passed all the same questions. Then was told that my payment may not arrive until March !!
Seems to be delaying tactics good luck !!

It’s 20th Jan 2020 and I still have not got my winter fuel allowance. I have sent two emails to customer services. You can not get any sense from the numbers they display.

Hi Trish. Did you get it okay? If you receive a state pension directly into your bank account your fuel allowance should go there automatically and you should get a letter from pensions saying it’s paid.
