The World's Most Expensive Christmas

Did anyone watch this dreadful programme last night? I have to confess that I only saw some of it, but the parts which I saw followed various business people from florists to chocolatiers and jewellers as they catered for mega-rich people who wanted to buy "the best". There was a diamond encrusted tree -topper for £615,000 and one family spent £250,000 on a (I have to admit) beautifully decorated Christmas tree, door- wreaths and table decorations ............. and they might not even bother to spend any part of Christmas in their Mayfair home, preferring to stay in America instead. Presents on their shopping list included two Bentleys! What an obscene waste of money when there are people sleeping in cardboard boxes on our streets, people in Africa and India who have no clean, running water and where children are starving to death. I wonder if these mega-rich people sleep easy in their beds at night.
