Your last meal

If you knew that you were going to die tomorrow and you were asked what would you like to eat for your 'last meal' what would you order?

I would stuff myself full of cake, scones jam and rich cream, tea, choc éclair donuts, more tea. I don't eat any of this due to my diet, but I would die with a smile on my face.

Maybe I will act casual, as if I tomorrow seems far away, I will snack on Camambert with stuffed green olives, white grapes and crusty bread. Then later a darned good feast of British bangers and mash with onion gravy and maybe a Yorkshire pudding. xxx

Since I would have no idea of what time of day I might depart I have decided a menu would help .

Breakfast : Fluffy scrambled eggs and two cups of cappuccino in bed

Lunch : Cauliflower cheese ( lots of it ) a slice of crusty bread, a glass of white wine and my favourite background music.

Dinner : Poached Salmon with creamed spinach and baby new potatoes. more wine

Supper : Chocolate of any or every description which would definitely finish me off.

I never have a starter or desert so my main meal would have been my great-aunt's cabbage and ribs if she were still with us - as she isn't it wouldn't really bother me what I ate as long as it wasn't spicy.

First, a dry sherry followed by the very finest top quality battered cod and perfectly cooked chips and mushy peas......and I'm hyper critical on the cooking of these simple items.
To finish, a small mountain of sublime orange liquor crepe suzettes. Finally, a large slug of my favourite single malt ......what a way to go!!

A lovely ring of boiled black pudding, with a slice of bread & butter, what any working class of man desires, followed by enough English Whiskey to slip into the land of " Never to return"

Oooo - why am I going to die, is it because I might drink, smoke, take drugs, am overweight, have an inherited condition, enjoy dangerous sports - and why must I eat - I think I would far rather use the time writing my funeral service......
Response from duckkers made on 7th Jul 2016 19:00:45
As I am an obese, drunk, drug addict with a congenital heart condition - not to mention a familial tendency to cancer - I doubt the burners would consume my body..........so perhaps a skip would be a better option - would there be nice odorous candles to take away the rather nasty smell of my decomposing body........
Response from duckkers made on 7th Jul 2016 19:03:14
of course I was assuming somebody might be sad to see me gone ...... so probably a skip would be the best option

With all that fat and alcohol inside you they may need to call the Fire Brigade to put the flames out, or you could burn for a week!
Have you considered burial at sea?
