My name is Midge, live in Mickleover. Enjoy gardening, the countryside, animals, photography, computers, short distance walking, meeting for a coffee. Interested in like-minded people living in this area who could meet up, under the distancing regulations and just chat. Possibly morning coffee Markeaton Park on a good day when weather permits.
I am sure a small group could come up with ideas? I don’t think age is a barrier. Anyone interested?

Hi, I have only just come across this site and thought I would take a look. Not many on here I'm afraid but maybe it will grow as more find it. I was born in Kent, married and moved to Essex. Didn't really like Essex much but at we both worked in London at the time, it was the best area for housing etc. When I got divorced in 2006 after 30 years marriage, I felt I needed to get right away and so I relocated, (bravely I now think!) up to the East Midlands with the Peak District on my doorstep. I love it up here and would never return down South now although most of my family are down there and as I get older I realise I may never see them again in person! Frightening thought, but we are all getting too frail one way or another, to go traipsing up and down the country. I have my son living with me and my daughter lives in Birmingham, both unmarried so that is the extent of my immediate family. It would be nice to get to chat with others on here. Thanks for reading. x

Hi Barbara, I lived in Surrey which is now merged into London for ULEZ, difficult to avoid driving charges, do you drive Barbara ? My immediate family are 70 miles away, brothers are scattered around Norfolk Y Manchester so not easy to pop in for a cuppa. Keep well, Jan

Hi, I am a 62 year old female. Looking to make contact with down to earth people who enjoy company of the chatty kind, but also comfortable with silences. To enjoy discussing the issues of the day, meals, holidays/walks etc and a glass of wine (not a bottle).
