Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?
Dogs are more popular than cats for the first time in over 20-years!
For more than 20-years cats have ruled the roost in British homes significantly outnumbering dogs in the quest to become the country’s most popular pet.
But now the latest figures have revealed how the humble hound is top dog once again, with almost a quarter of households in the UK now giving a home to one of man’s best friends.
Statistics published by Dogs Trust Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA) reveal that there are now 8.9 million dogs living in Britain compared to just 7.9 million cats.
So do you have a preference in your home?
What are your views on this or do you have both?
We'd love to hear your comments

At your command.
They squirm and roll,
They lick your hand.
Dogs die of love
If you should leave –
Refuse to eat
And whine and grieve.
Dogs only ask
To be thrown sticks,
Ingratiating
With their tricks.
Man’s fragile self
Loves sycophants,
And how well dogs
This self enhance.
But take a cat –
A slave to none,
A haughty
Enigmatic one.
You give, it takes,
Secure in grace –
And in my heart
A special place.
The joy of walking and exercise meeting like minded people is great in fact I thought of calling one of the dogs Gym as he was my exercise come rain sleet or snow but nicer when the sun is out or on bright cold hard days.
They respond to your moods and I think they speak volumes to us and the great thing is I can tell him all my secrets and he never says a word, truly mans best friend, but they are only as good as there owners
Dogs have Masters,
Cats have Servants.
Which one are you?
