Do Prince William and Prince Harry embody the best characteristics of a modern man?
Prince William and Prince Harry open up about their late mother Princess Diana in a touching new documentary to mark the 20th anniversary of her death.
Prince William has followed his brother’s lead and opened up about the importance of discussing grief and how this relates to mental health.
The Duke of Cambridge has called for an end to the ‘stiff upper lip’ culture, saying he wants Prince George and Princess Charlotte to be able to talk about their emotions.
Prince Harry discussing so openly the impact of the death of his mother on his own mental health has made a huge difference to the way we discuss grief.
This is just one example of how the princes appear to be in tune with their emotions and are not afraid to show us. Prince William frequently shows public displays of affection to his own children and his wife, whilst Prince Harry shows that same affection when meeting children all over the world. Both William and Harry are known for generosity and kind-heartedness, their sense of fun and adventure, traits perhaps inherited from their mother.
What are your views? Do you think Diana would be proud of the way her boys have grown up? Do they display the qualities of good role models for boys and men today?
