Do you get enough sleep?

The government is to launch a campaign to try and persuade middle aged people to sleep more as the latest research indicates that a lack of sleep can be linked to diseases such as heart disease, obesity and diabetes.

Another study in 2013 which was published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology showed that having at least seven or more hours sleep provided benefits towards a more healthy lifestyle.

The modern lifestyle of staying up late and getting up early is a ‘ticking time bomb for our health’, according to researchers.

Public Health England is planning to encourage adults between the ages of 40 and 60 to spend more time in bed as part of a wide-ranging campaign to boost the nation’s health.

How is your sleep pattern? Do you get enough sleep? Are you sleeping more or less than you did when you were younger?
