Has lockdown made you consider moving home?

From downsizing, to moving out of the city or moving closer to loved ones, lockdown has sparked a nationwide debate about where people want to live.

The proportion of homeowners in London registering with estate agencies outside the capital more than doubled in April, and buyers in Manchester and Birmingham are showing strong interest in more rural locations.

The success of home working, plus the desire to avoid crowds and packed public transport has prompted many people to reconsider how they want to live post-pandemic.

Others are looking to downsize or live more simply after taking time to reflect on what’s most important to them. More still want to be close to family members after the difficulty of being kept apart for months.

What do you think? Has lockdown made you consider moving home? Will you be making any changes post-pandemic? Share your views at Speakers Corner.
