Would you stake £1,000,000 on Jeremy Clarkson’s wisdom?

To mark the 20th anniversary of the famous money quiz show, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? will return for a week of celebratory episodes.

The former Top Gear star, Jeremy Clarkson, takes his seat on the stool previously occupied by Chris Tarrant.

In a twist on the classic format, contestants will have a brand-new lifeline: Ask The Host.

Viewers familiar with the quiz show will recognise the three traditional lifelines Ask The Audience, Phone a Friend, and 50:50. But the new addition allows the contestant to Ask The Host if he knows the answer or can guess what it might be.

The additional twist may give competitors an extra helping hand as the former Top Gear star will have to say if he knows the answer to a question, or share his opinion on what it might be.

The host never sees the questions (or the answers) ahead of the contestants, so it all comes down to the former Top Gear presenter’s general knowledge. So will he help his contestants win the million or send them home empty-handed?

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? starts on Saturday 5th May at 9.15pm on ITV, and will then continue nightly throughout the week at 9pm for a further six episodes, when contestants will have the opportunity to answer 15 questions in the hopes of winning the big prize.

Will you be tuning in for the show’s revival? Would you choose help from Jeremy Clarkson or would you phone a friend if you got stuck?
