Ain’t no mountain high enough!

I may be middle aged at 53, but I want to treated as exactly that … mid-aged. But at 50+ we have to acknowledge that some things do start becoming a bit more challenging.

I’m definitely not ready to give up fitness, sport and cycling, however the Surrey Hills can be challenging, whichever route you choose, and sometimes the steep hills can be a deterrent for getting outside and keeping fit.

But, I’ve just discovered an electric mountain bike and I’ve never had so much fun!  All the thrills of off road cycling, but without that dreaded feeling of a long uphill climb.   I can have all the adrenalin rush of downhill biking trails and feel confident that my bike, with nice fat tyres, can tackle anything without the fear of losing momentum.

I can travel greater distances, get low impact exercise whilst enjoying the stunning countryside.  And nothing beats cruising past a breathless 20 year old guy at 18km/h  on a steep uphill climb.

It could be just the thing for anyone who wants to blow some of their pension pot,  stay fit,  keep up with the kids (or fitness-nut partner) and have a healthy mid life crisis!

I bought mine from Electric Bikes Guildford, and whilst it was a big investment in terms of cost, compared to gym membership I feel confident I will get my monies worth!
