End to end cycling challenge – LEJOG!
Deloitte Ride Across Britain is now firmly established as the UK’s premier long distance cycling event.
With 93% of participants rating it as one of the best experiences of their life* we can’t really argue. The ride takes on the classic ‘End to End’ challenge starting at Land’s End, Cornwall before taking in some of the country’s most breath-taking landscapes before finishing at John O’Groats, Scotland. Over 9 days, over 800 riders will cover 969 miles truly breath-taking miles.
The Ride is designed for those who want every detail taken care of so all you have to worry about is your legs! It is most definitely on the bucket list for everyone who has enjoyed a day in the saddle. Riders get to experience the best riding that Britain has to offer, including the rugged Cornish coastline, the rolling hills and valleys of the Peak District and finishing with the majesty of the Scottish Highlands.
This event is not just for the elite, it is one anyone can prepare for and complete. Amongst the hundreds of people who have completed the event we have had people in their seventies, riders with one arm and others who have lost an enormous amount of weight getting to the start-lin. We believe that if you have the will power and time to prepare then you can complete it with our support. Many people don’t even have a bike let alone any endurance cycling experience when they sign up.
Each night riders stay in mobile basecamps with the other riders which have everything you need on site; your own tent ready and waiting, fantastic 3 course meals, massages, hot showers, mechanical and medical support. There is also always a bar for those who like their sports nutrition of a different flavour. This entire support package means the event is regularly labelled as one of the UK’s highest quality cycling events.
