Balearic Outdoor Holidays organise walking, cycling and painting holidays and we welcome singles couples and small groups alike to enjoy leisurely activity holidays on the sunshine islands of Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza.
Whilst part of the same chain of Spanish islands, Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca couldn’t be more diverse. The Mallorca mountains, from where we base our painting and cycling holidays are simply magnificent and offer magnificent views down to the coast and lush green countryside below. Menorca is the quietest of the 3 islands and oozes an unspoilt charm that seems to come from another time. Our guests return here time and time again to experience it’s deserted beaches, pine forrests and picture postcard villages. The Eastern side of Ibiza has a peaceful and almost spiritual feel to it that seduces everyone that experiences it.
When we arrive at a certain age, our bodies are built more for comfort than speed and we very much take this into account when planning our holidays. Our walking weeks for both singles and couples are of around 6 miles in duration, fully guided (with 2 guides) and have a “just in case” backup vehicle close by at all times. Our cycling holidays take place along gently undulating country lanes, leading down to deserted golden beaches or along peaceful and flat forrest tracks. Our cycling holidays also benefit from 2 guides and a backup vehicle. Both the walking and cycling are taken at the pace of the slowest in the group and all drinking water plus tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Our painting holidays are fully tutored and suitable for all levels. Whilst our tutors are chosen for their undoubted ability as painters, sometimes the best doers don’t make the best teachers and it’s important to us that our tutors have both patience and a fun personality thus enabling creativity to flourish in a non pressurised atmosphere.
