5 Reasons To Book With Norwegian Cruise Line

Quite often when it comes to cruises, we hear people saying, “there’s a different cruise line for everyone”. But how do you choose? Where do you start?

Well, what if we told you there is one cruise line that could be for everyone? Here at Jetline Cruise, over the many years of selling cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line has proved to be one of the most popular cruise lines of them all. With some of the most innovative features we’ve ever seen on a cruise line, word-class entertainment and the most diverse dining options at sea, it’s easy to comprehend why NCL has become a massive hit for such a wide variety of people. Here are just FIVE reasons we believe NCL are at the forefront of cruising for British cruisers…

Free at Sea

Manhattan Room on Norwegian Bliss

Earlier this year NCL introduced their fantastic (and optional) ‘FREE At Sea’ promotion; giving you the opportunity to customise your cruise from just £99pp. You have the choice to add on two of these very valuable benefits to your cruise package, including – Premium All-Inclusive Drinks Package, Speciality Dining Package, Shore Excursion Package or a handy Wi-Fi bundle for you to upload unlimited snaps online throughout your holiday. The intention with “Free At Sea” is to enable more freedom, flexibility and value for customers during their time on board, and what better way to enhance your holiday and save your pennies than the above! At Jetline Cruise we have many of these extra’s already included in our varied NCL packages!

Up to 27 dining options

Get ready to experience a brand-new sensation of freedom at sea with Norwegian’s abundance of dining options. From juicy burgers to fine dining, authentic Japanese at the famous Teppanyaki, and even 24-hour dining, everything you’ve ever wanted to eat is available at sea. It’s worth mentioning that there are also no fixed dining times or pre-assigned seating, meaning you can dine whenever, wherever! If you’re looking for an evening of elegance, then Ocean Blue can be found on ships like Norwegian Bliss. Here you’ll find the freshest culinary delights and finest wines. Or if you’re a meat lover, Cagney’s Steakhouse offers mouth-watering cuts of beef and can be found on every NCL ship. Whatever your mood, be prepared to tickle your taste buds with something new every day!

Award-winning Entertainment

Scene from Kinky Boots

Voted Best Entertainment by Cruise Critic, Norwegian are reputably known for their immersive entertainment. And when it comes to the dazzling Broadway-style shows, get ready to be wowed during productions of hit musicals such as Jersey Boys, and Kinky Boots! On board Norwegian Breakaway you can witness The Rock of Ages – a story set in the 80s with outfits and music to match! And for the first time at sea, on board Norwegian Joy you’ll be able to witness Footloose the musical! You can also catch sizzling dance shows where you’ll find talented dancers from across the globe! If the shows aren’t what you fancy, you can take on a more relaxed vibe accompanied by live music at places like the Jazz & Blues Club. And when the party is calling, the adults-only escape Spice H2o is where you need to be heading. By day, sip cold cocktails and enjoy the views. By night, it’s a whole different kettle of fish – let loose and dance under the stars!

I went on a 10 day NCL cruise in January. A norovirus found it's way on board and hundreds, and I do mean hundreds, of people were confined to their cabins for 3-5 days. The crew were absolutely magnificent in the decontamination procedures and did their utmost to contain it. People were still being treated for the illness when we returned to dock in Barcelona, yet there was another queue forming for the next batch of 'cruisers' to come aboard. We asked about compensation, due to the fact that lots of people missed some of the shore excursions but the staff were adamant that there would not be any. Not good customer relations, and most people said that they would not cruise with them again. Even 10% for inconvenience would have been better than nothing.

We loved our cruise of the Caribbean for our Silver Wedding Anniversary in 1999 on Norwegian Lines. Our travel agent made a note of our upcoming anniversary when booking for us, and on the anniversary day while we were on board ship, we were surprised to find a bottle of champagne (with wine glasses etc) and a box of chocolates in our cabin when we we returned there after a shore excursion! Also that night at dinner we were also surprised with a cake (with candles lit) delivered to our table for everyone at the table to enjoy! Really nice touch by Norwegian.
