When you book before midnight on November 30th you can save up to £200 per couple on 2020 Shearings getaways as part of their early booking offer.

Here are some of the unique experiences Shearings are offering on their 2020 Book-It list:

Hike in the country’s largest National Park and other fine landscapes

Stunning sunrise from Loughrigg Fell and looking out over lake Windermere

The Lake District has captivated visitors for centuries and inspired countless artists with its beauty. Known for superb walking trails, dramatic hills and valleys, gorges, waterfalls and of course the lakes and villages including Keswick, Grasmere and Windermere with great shops, boutiques, restaurants and tea rooms.

Discover the park on a Shearings Walking Break with a walking pack to guide you through three of the Lakes’ best walks. The Lakes are just one of the places you can explore on their Walking Breaks with superb coastal trails, the Cairngorms, the South Downs and many other destinations also available. Choose from self drive and coach travel options, with half-board accommodation, a self-guided walking pack and packed lunches on all of these breaks. If you want to take your furry friend along with you, choose a break at a Coast & Country Hotel, all of which are dog-friendly.

Feel miniscule among the mighty Norwegian Fjords

Lofoten Fjord

Few sights in nature are as colossal as the Norwegian fjords. The country’s coastline has more than 1000 fjords which Shearings discover on ocean cruises and coach tours. Sognefjord, the country’s longest and deepest, runs for more than 125 miles of crystal clear waters from the sea to the idyllic village of Skjolden. Hop aboard the Flam Railway on their Norwegian Fjords tour for the best view of the fjord and one of the most scenic railway journeys anywhere in the world, through the Flamsdalen Valley to the village of Flam.

Discover the USA’s musical heritage and visit the home of the King

French Quarter, New Orleans

More famous and iconic than most presidential and royal palaces, Graceland is the most visited house in the USA after the White House, a mecca for Elvis fans across the world. A museum to the artists life, it is still decorated in ‘The King’s’ opulent fashion. You can even pay your respects to the man himself at his graveside in the estate’s garden.

Shearings’ America’s Rhythms tour traverses the US’s Deep South taking in the destinations that have had an impact on popular music around the globe. As well as visiting Graceland, experience Memphis’ Beale Street, home of the Blues and travel to ‘Music City USA’, Nashville and The Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry Theatre and the Johnny Cash museum. The tour ends in New Orleans and the Jazz clubs of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street with many other significant musical destinations along the way.

These are just three of the experience-packed tours on offer with Shearings in 2020, with tours featuring great flavour, exploration, culture, relaxation, nature and history.
