Which is your favourite Airline?

Many of us now travel quite often abroad on holiday to see friends and relations in far flung places and in some cases on business. There are many airlines to choose from which fly from the UK.

There are a range of fare options, and low cost carriers allow you to build a package depending on your requirements, although it is not very easy to compare fares across the board.  Some people choose cheap fares, whilst others choose based on schedule and flight times.

There is no mention of KLM - by far superior than any mentioned in the list.

We used American Airlines quite a bit when our family lived in Chicago, but when they moved to Florida we could no longer use them as they do not fly to Orlando which is the airport closer to them. But the seats on AA & cabin crew were the best & food wasn't too bad either.
More family in OZ & we fly Emirates to them ,they have been amazing so far (twice)

For me it has to be a scheduled carrier, as I've got long legs and I don't fit in the seats on the charter and cheap airlines!
We've used BA most often, and had good service, but our choice is usually based on who flies to where we want to go to. at a reasonable time of day, and has seats available.

Been flying to Australia to visit daughter over past 15 years and tried nearly all of them that fly the route to Sydney usually price is the main reason for choice. At the moment think Emirates has the edge but agree about crews disappearing during the long night sections. They make snacks/drinks available for you but you have to go and search for them which usually means you disturbing people who may be sleeping. Went to Florida on Virgin had a fantastic flight out but the return flight was a nightmare and you would not have thought it was the same airline. They all have their pluses and minuses.

Have travelled a couple of times recently with Easyjet and was very impressed with the service. Checking in online and printing boarding passes meant we were through security and into departures really quickly. Impressed with the legroom and comfort of seats and the cabin staff were amazing - very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Because all charges are upfront and they have the best long distance seats

It has been good to see Ryanair improving its boarding system and, on the whole, cabin staff attitudes to customers. Interesting though to see the much better queueing method for boarding at Ancona compared with the chaotic systems at Pescara. Very reliable and punctual from Stansted to Pescara.

As we travel almost exclusively from Bristol for our foreign holidays, we have mostly used Thomson for many years and always found them very good, and certainly offer a better experience than Easyjet or Flybe. Unfortunately, they are not quite in the class they used to be when they always used to include a full 3 course meal as part of the price, and other little touches.
But, given the choice, I would choose Thomsons still over many of the others.
After them, Lufthansa would be next best - leather seats, leg room, free papers - what's not to like?!

I used Air France as the country I worked in (ex-French colony) on the African continent had no British Airways service, as they scare to easily when things get rough.

Flybe, no airline is my favourite as none fly from where I to where I want yo go. The ones that do fly to where I want go means I either have to travel over two hours to the airport that they fly from or alternatively fly to another airport to go to where I want to go. Flybe is the airline that getse closer yo where I want me but still means a long journey to my final destination.

I have a flat in Qatar as an investment but with the latest fiasco of the FIFA and bribery not sure it was a good one! Anyhow I have been to Qatar a few times and the airline is quite good with new aeroplanes and nice staff

I think there are quite a few good airlines. Easyjet is simple and does the job and the prices are generally excellent. I went on one of their new aircraft down to Grenoble about a year ago and it was spotless. For cabin crew being friendly and all round service I have to say Singapore Airlines is the best by far. The crew are always in the cabin helping passengers unlike many other airlines where they hide away once they have served the drinks and a meal
