Springtime getaways with Shearings

Start spring with a getaway taking you to the heart of some of Britain’s best destinations.

Shearings have a number of springtime escapes staying at partner hotels across the country which include breaks in stunning countryside and some historic and cultural cities.

Tours in the next couple of months staying in beautiful properties around the country include:

Discover Chatsworth House and Lyme Park from the Old Hall Hotel in Buxton.

The Old Hall Hotel in Buxton is one of the oldest in the country, said at one point to have been the prison of Mary Queen of Scots. The hotel sits right at the heart of this charming town surrounded by the Peak District. Rooms are beautifully decorated in a classic style and you’ll enjoy fantastic breakfasts and evening meals throughout your five day stay.

Two excursions on this tour take you to the Peak District’s most spectacular houses, Lyme Park and Chatsworth House. You’ll also travel through the national park with plenty of chances to see the beautiful light and dark peaks and pretty villages that characterise the region. Five day breaks depart on April 14th with prices from £302 per person.

Go on the trail of the Beatles in Iconic Liverpool, staying at 30 James Street Hotel

30 James Street Hotel was voted the best hotel in the UK by Travel Republic and you can stay there on Shearings’ Iconic Liverpool tour. The facilities and location are what makes the hotel what it is, with spa facilities, a fantastic restaurant and a rooftop terrace bar there’s so much to enjoy.

During your stay you’ll receive included tickets to the Beatles Experience, discovering the Famous Four’s history and how the city influenced them. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour of Liverpool and have plenty of time to explore the city from your hotel which is just a five minute walk from both the docks and Liverpool ONE shopping centre. Shearings’ Iconic Liverpool tours start from £349 per person, with 5 day itineraries leaving in April, July and September.

Enjoy a weekend of ultimate relaxation on a Warner Weekend at Bodelwyddan Castle

Sounds OK but when we tried to book at Whitby for a family anniversary, B & B was not an option, only half board. Makes you suspicious that the menu is not good enough to keep you at the hotel.
