New to the Cox & Kings range for 2015 is Alaska. Sparsely populated, the region has a magnificent coastline, towering mountains, national parks, calving glaciers and superb wildlife.
Most popular to visit between May and August, it is well connected by road, rail and air, making it an easy destination to explore.
Cox & Kings’ new 9-day Highlights of Alaska self-drive tour is from £1,495 per person with car hire. Travelling from the coast to the mountainous interior and back again, there is plenty of incredible scenery including national parks, glaciers, wildlife and culture making it a superb overview for guests who wish to travel independently.
Alternatively, it is possible to board the Alaska Railroad and travel the 756km from Seward to Fairbanks staying in local accommodation each night. The 9-day journey is priced from £2,145 per person.
