Over many years Singapore Airways have been constantly voted as one of the best airlines in the world; ……it’s easy to see why.
Having worked for some of the worlds leading airlines I have travelled a fair amount and experienced many flights. On my honeymoon back in 1985 we flew on Singapore Airlines down to Singapore and had an excellent experience which I still remember from years ago.
Many years later in 2011 I flew to Perth, Australia on a business trip on one of Singapore Airways brand new A380 Airbus “Super Jumbos” and was astonished at how good the service was. I sat in economy seats both ways but had paid a bit extra to have an exit door seat on the return journey, being over six foot I need the legroom. On the outbound flight the exit seats were full but I didn’t find the legroom restrictive anyway. Both flights were right on time.
The cabin interior was spotless and really felt calming. The cabin crew were absolutely excellent offering a superb and attentive service. Singapore Airways advertise their cabin crews as their biggest asset with the tagline “We provide service other airlines talk about” For years their stewardesses have featured in adverts and it’s easy to see why. They provide incredible service. They are constantly talking to passengers and offering frequent refreshments and always with kind smiles.
The food was very enjoyable and the in-flight entertainment with multiple choices of films, documentaries and games was superb. A long flight down to Singapore and then onto Perth turned out to be an enjoyable experience and I still tell friends what a great airline Singapore is.
