How we’ve been using Manuka honey
The texture of Manuka honey is exceptionally smooth, making it a versatile sweetener that can be added to cereals, fruit dishes and in my case Earl Grey tea! I’ve been using it on my morning cereal, adding a rich sweetness that enhances the flavours of my breakfast and in my Earl Gray tea where the honey compliments the tea, creating a soothing and aromatic experience. I’ve found it’s best to use hot not boiling water for the best taste results.
We also added some Manuka honey into our flapjack recipe to add a natural sweetness.
It is also the perfect addition to a hot lemon and ginger drink to sweeten it and its added health benefits.
Its texture and ability to blend well with other flavours make it an excellent staple in the kitchen – we have been using it in our salad dressings and it made a really good marinade for our salmon poke bowl at the weekend.

One of my daughters has had a tickly cough this week and has been trying them.
