Introducing myselfYou say it well Vanessal, people experience loneliness sometime in their lives. When it first comes on, it's hard to understand because having friends and family and still feeling lonely doesn't make sense. We walk the path of life alone, finding like minded people along the way helps, then the contradiction kicks in...we are not alone, we're a heard animal and need each other. Understanding and like minded people are worth their weight in gold. Loneliness can by a time to get to know yourself.ViewDate:

Introducing myselfRozie, Just read your message, I totally understand were you're coming from. I was divorced after a 20 year marriage last year, sold and bought a house and now live alone. Despite goods friends and family, I have moments of loneliness. Unlike you I don't have many interests, I've plunged further into work. My short to long term plan is to work less and travel/holiday more I suppose I'm looking for a sole mate, a friend. I've just come back from a week's holiday in Spain with an old Army Buddy, we've known each other since we were 17yrs old. He divorced 6yrs ago, very sociable bloke, enjoys his own company and copes well. My daughter lives within an hours drive, I enjoy walks with her and the dog, she was married last year, which seems to add to my loneliness. And like you, I'm new to this site. Government benefit sanctions what are your thoughts?I agree. i see it as a race towards Americanism weras everything has to have a monetary value. Sadly profit/money is a great motivator and therfore justifies being on the short list of "21st Century" human needs solely as an incentive. I believed it shouldn't...but it is. To find a path towards a utopian future we need to accept "what is" and not what should be or not be. Money is still in it's evolutionary beginnings, a catalyst to work together. American economics equates to greed, evolution is blind, that's the challenge. -
