MHA creates information hub to support older people online

Have you ever been curious about how you could fund care home fees? Do you need some advice on staying active in later life? Are you looking for tips to save money on your household bills?

MHA has launched a new online platform called the Later Life Hub. The purpose of it is simple: to support older people with navigating everyday issues and matters affecting later life.

The Later Life Hub includes a wealth of information and advice on topics that are important to the older generation such as managing finances, health and wellbeing, planning for retirement, and much more. The hub also highlights and signposts to credible organisations that can offer guidance and practical support to readers.

It is freely available for anyone to access. The hub does not only support people in later life but provides helpful information and advice for those supporting an older person too.

The hub will be regularly updated with helpful articles ranging from living with dementia and Pensions, to writing your Will and budgeting.

MHA is a leading care charity, celebrating it’s 80-year anniversary in 2023. MHA help people to live later life well in their care homes, retirement living, and community groups across Britain.

Here’s what Jonathan Mace, Director of Communities for MHA, said:

“We’re passionate that older people in society are given every opportunity to live later life well. That’s why we were delighted to launch the Later Life Hub to help provide clear information on some of the most important issues faced as we age.

“Naturally, people are inclined to go online when it comes to searching for tips, information, and advice, so launching this new platform gives us, as a national charity, an opportunity to help reach even more older people living in the community.

“We feel with the current climate, and the issues surrounding the cost-of-living crisis there was no better time to launch and continue to build upon a much-needed service.”
