Absolutely thrilled with the Raleigh New Motus Grand Tour Lowstep E-Bike!

I recently had the pleasure of testing the Raleigh New Motus Grand Tour Lowstep E-Bike, and I can confidently say that it has exceeded all my expectations.
This e-bike would be perfect for a daily commute and ideal for leisure rides, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.
It was very easy to assemble on arrival, requiring the handlebars and pedals to be connected, and the battery can either be charged on the bike or easily removed and charged remotely in the house. Charging took about 7 hours to complete.
There are both front and rear lights that are connected and powered automatically when the battery is in place, mudguards and a storage rack on the back.

I currently own an off-road e-bike so I am used to the controls and can operate and understand the electric-assist options and gear changes, but the Motus was very easy and user-friendly if you were a novice.
First and foremost, the Lowstep design is incredibly convenient. Mounting and dismounting the bike is a breeze, making it perfect for riders of all ages and abilities. It’s been a game-changer for me as I didn’t have to struggle with awkward mounting, swinging my leg up and over the saddle.
You can choose exactly how easy you want your ride to be, from a serious leg-burner to an unbelievably easy glide. The electric-assist feature is simply outstanding. I tested it on a very steep hill climb and easily made it to the top. I would not have been able to achieve this on a regular bike. The Motus Grand Tour handles it effortlessly both riding uphill and speeding downhill. The weight of the bike makes it feel very stable and secure on the road.

I cycled to my local Farmshop and felt confident leaving it parked safely outside, due to the custom-fitted lock on the back wheel – simply turn the key and the back wheel is immobilised to deter theft. I also liked the integrated stand which allows you to park the bike safely without needing to lean it on anything.

The motor is both powerful and responsive, providing a smooth and natural riding experience. It’s like having a gentle tailwind at my back whenever I need it, making my rides more enjoyable and less physically demanding. On a slight incline, I was able to overtake some hardcore road bikers, much to my amusement!
The battery life on this e-bike is impressive. I can easily complete multiple commutes or long recreational rides on a single charge. The maximum range is 100 miles, depending on how much power assist you use. The battery indicator is accurate, and recharging is quick and hassle-free. The display on the handlebars shows you the speed you are riding, along with the battery life indicator, time and what mode you are cycling in, and remaining range, making tracking your journey home very easy and reliable. This reliability gives me the confidence to explore new routes without worrying about running out of power.

Comfort is another area where the Motus Grand Tour shines. The saddle is plush, and the handlebars are ergonomically designed, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The suspension fork effectively absorbs bumps and uneven terrain, delivering a smooth and enjoyable ride. It’s perfect for longer journeys, and I didn’t experience any discomfort even after an extended ride.
The build quality of this Raleigh e-bike is exceptional. The frame feels sturdy and well-constructed, and all the components are high-quality. It’s evident that Raleigh has paid close attention to detail and durability, ensuring that this e-bike will stand the test of time.
The included features such as integrated lights, a rear rack, and full-length mudguards are highly practical and add to the bike’s overall functionality. I appreciate the thoughtful design elements that make this e-bike a complete package.
