These heartwarming photos showcase family bonds from around the world

When the time comes to crack out the family photo album, these snappers will have plenty to show the grandchildren.

A new contest from photo app Agora challenged photographers from around the world to send in their best family-focused images, and more than 8,400 of the them responded.

50 finalists have now been selected – and these are our favourite shots…
