Video: This is what hair salons could look like as lockdown restrictions lift

From stylists in PPE to longer opening hours.

If there’s one thing we can probably all agree on, it’s that just about everyone is in dire need of a haircut right now.

Hair salons have been closed for months, and it’s not clear exactly when they might reopen, but when they do, safety measures will need to be put in place.

One salon, Gatsby & Miller in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, is showing how they plan to be ‘Covid secure’ on reopening, giving us a glimpse into how hair appointments might look in the very near future…

Very dangerous.
One slip of the scissors and hey presto the face mask will slip off and reveal Mrs Jones from down the road who is a liar, as she always said that she never went to the hairdressers.
How will hairdressers cope with the hair that grows out of the ears if it is covered with a mask .

I haven't been out for nearly 13 weeks except in my garden and feel I've lost my confidence about going out again.

I am very worried as shops open that many small shops, have done nothing but put a few two meter stickers on the floor, as at our local Co-op and large garage shop.
I was told by the girl that it was up to me to tell shoppers walking the wrong way towards me! This has given me no confidence fr shopping at all. Debbie/Pippy1

so glad I am a retired hairdresser. I could not work in a hot salon with all that gear on. Cutting with gloves on will be difficult enough. Good luck to all those stylists.
