Which hobbies do you find most rewarding?

Hobbies are a wonderful way to enrich our lives, spend time with others, and learn new skills.

Most people pick up several hobbies over the course of their lifetime, sometimes following their curiosity, other times trying something new at the insistence of a friend.

Leisure and recreation are an important feature of psychological health – engaging your mind, relaxing and enjoying yourself are just as important to your wellbeing as good rest, exercise and a balanced diet.

Today we’re asking you – which hobbies do you find most rewarding? Vote in the poll below and then tell us why in the comments; you might just inspire someone else to give it a go!

I enjoy metal detecting, it gets me out in the fresh air doing lots of walking and digging. I love digging up and revealing history and I also help people who lose items of jewellery etc it's a great feeling to return lost items to their owners. Love my hobby.

I enjoy working as a gardener for the National Trust & also tend my own garden, I also volunteer at the R.V.P at Manchester Airport. I play golf & attend a gym where I do Pilates. Recently I have joined a local amateur Theatre group & help with stage sets. In the better weather I enjoy cycling.

I've recently started drawing and painting after a break of some years. I find it so relaxing and rewarding and even better have now got commissioned to do pet portraits.
