10 common garden birds you can easily identify from your windowWe are very lucky in our garden and get quite a variety. To date, as well as the ones mentioned. Bullfinch, Great spotted woodpecker, magpie, robin, wren, long tailed tit, cold tit, a glance of a sparrow hawk, just missing some food. That's in West Yorkshire.ViewDate:

Daily diaries of those who are self-isolating due to CoronavirusI live with a husband in the "magic " age group and a son who, today was sent home from work as he has an underlying condition. So here we are in splendid isolation. As it is only day three, not doing to badly feels a little holiday like. I am sure that this will change. Now trying to work out how to shape our days so as to stay fit, healthy, and not go slowly crackers !! The usual things spring to mind, reading, gardening, DIY, Keep Fit Boot Camp. I have had an enjoyable couple of days on Facebook, some great funnies and interesting pointers, so far. I just wanted to say hello to all and lets make these postings as upbeat and funny as possible. Looking forward to every bodies inputs. TFF Cathy Chaos.ViewDate:

Why batch cooking is your stockpiling secret weaponI generally batch cook Spaghetti sauce , Chilli and Meatloaf. But I have also found portioning of frozen vegetables makes life easier as well. Just grab and go, with the amount needed. I put them in take away containers that can be used multiple times, which stack well in the freezer.ViewDate:

Should noisy snacks be banned from the cinema?I think sometimes people forget that watching in a cinema/theatre is not being at " home " . So they act as though they are at home, moving about texting, eating etc. I have been to both cinema and theatre viewings where I have had to ask people, politely, to switch off phones, to quieten their voices, and or stop sending running commentaries of their phones to their friends. Yes, people might say I am being fussy, but I have attended events to enjoy them and for me that is being able to concentrate and live the experience. Please remember that a theatre/cinema visit is not a private viewing, but a audience experience. Thank youViewDate:
