Rangeford Villages’ New Retirement Village

Siddington Park, Cirencester, given the go ahead

Rangeford Villages has announced that building work on its new £50m lifestyle village for the over 55s, Siddington Park, is commencing and will be delivered by Rydon.

Located on a 12-acre former parkland site on the outskirts of Cirencester, off the A419, the village will feature a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments, ranging from 642sqft to 1,798sqft. The village is due to be completed in 2022.

Rangeford Villages, a retirement property specialist, and Octopus Real Estate, part of the Octopus Group and a leading investor in healthcare facilities throughout the UK and Ireland, are behind the new village, which will be developed and operated by Rangeford Villages. Bringing together their combined expertise, Siddington Park will offer residents an independent, active and worry-free retirement. The well-established partnership between Rangeford and Octopus Real Estate has already led to the creation of two successful retirement villages: Wadswick Green in Wiltshire and Mickle Hill in North Yorkshire.

Siddington Park will boast a number of onsite amenities, as well as landscaped grounds that will support a sociable and healthy lifestyle for its residents. Those looking to keep or get active can take advantage of the onsite pool and gym, where numerous classes will be run. Residents can relax in the village’s spa, which will offer a range of bespoke treatments, whilst the restaurant and coffee shop will provide a social hub for residents, family and friends. To complement the lifestyle offerings at Siddington Park, the team will create a regular events calendar featuring day trips, cultural events as well as resident led interest groups. A dedicated concierge team will be on hand to assist with day to day enquiries and services, whilst professionally trained onsite carers can provide additional assistance if required.

Howard Nankivell, Chief Executive Officer at Rangeford Villages comments “The face of later living has continued to evolve over the past few years. What we are creating today are communities that encourage people to make the most of their retirement. We have learnt that the village layout creates a safe and welcoming atmosphere and encourages people to socialise, start or rediscover interests and make new friends.”

“The surrounding area is beautiful and being close to the town centre means that our future residents will be very much part of the Cirencester community.”

Rydon is a growing and well-established contractor in the region. It has worked closely with Rangeford Villages since early 2017 and its appointment comes following Rydon successfully delivering Rangeford Village’s £22m Phase 2 (90 units) project at Wadswick Green in Wiltshire.

The marketing suite is due to open late Summer 2020, which will showcase the impressive apartments and facilities ahead of the apartments’ official launch.
