Will you be opening your door to trick-or-treaters this Halloween?

With carved pumpkins of all shapes and sizes on doorsteps and all manner of ghouls and ghosties on display it can only mean one thing…the trick or treaters are on their way!

Love them or hate them costumed children of all ages have been knocking on our doors on 31st October in the hope of a sweetie or two for a good many years now. Some may see it as an American tradition but there is no getting away from Halloween in the UK now.

Children are only welcome to knock on doors displaying a lit pumpkin, to show they will be well received… but is this the case in your neighbourhood?

Also, with Covid levels rising once again, the prediction of a ‘flu epidemic on its way, and the NHS in crisis are you happy to take the risk and open the door to them?

Will you be answering the door to trick-or-treaters this year? Have you put safeguards in place so the children can still have some fun? Do you dress up for Halloween? Or will you be keeping your door firmly closed?
