A quick squeeze of Burger Cheese is the secret ingredient that gives you affordable, restaurant-quality burgers without the hassle of a drive-thru. You can grab a tube or two from selected Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Home Bargains stores. So, enjoy the warmer weather with your family and friends and have a summer packed full of al fresco dining! Here’s a tasty Primula recipe to get you started…

Big & Really Tasty Burger

(Serves: 4)

What you need: 

1 tbsp vegetable oil
½ onion, finely diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
500g British beef mince (15% fat)

To serve:  

180g Primula Burger Cheese
4 bread buns (Brioche)
8 streaky bacon rashers, grilled
Lettuce
Tomato
White onion

How you do it:

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onions and gently fry until golden.
  2. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
  3. Once cool, place all the burger ingredients into a large mixing bowl and bring the ingredients together. Season to taste.
  4. Using your hands or a burger press, shape into 4 burgers and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  5. Place on the BBQ or skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side.
  6. Serve on a toasted bread bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and a generous squeeze of Primula Burger Cheese.
