I live alone with my aged dog, Bramble. I have MS and my main problem is with balance. I walk with a stick out of doors, but not in the house.
I was widowed suddenly 14 years ago and although it was a terrible, traumatic time in our lives, I do have a very supportive family and 7 lovely grandchildren plus 1 great grandchild. I love family events, ie sports day, birthdays, any made up event and going on holiday with family support - as I now feel unable to travel on my own.
I hail from Wimbledon originally and moved, via Berkshire to Norfolk in the hot summer of 1976.
I love gardening but now need assistance, and also in the house. I love fires and especially the smell of smokey burnt wood on a winters morning.
I'm not good at keeping fit but do try to strengthen my core, as I've been told to do!!
I like to cook but lack enthusiasm for cooking alone, what's the fun in that?
As a person I am gentle, caring and sensitive. I like poetry but more particularly, conversation; about all sorts of things, ie. politics, the children, life, gardening, whatever is in our interest at the time. Often with a glass of wine. I have an eclectic taste in music and I am generous of spirit. .
I used to be a child care social worker for children with disabilities.
