Are you concerned about the economic impact of Brexit?Yes you are right as all newspapers have their own agenda. I must admit I cancelled all the papers during the last election and never bothered reordering them. My 97 year told me years ago the only thing he believed in the papers was the date printed on the front page.ViewDate:

Are you concerned about the economic impact of Brexit?I think that both the EU and the Government need to get a dictionary and look up the meaning of the word negotiations. At the moment it has more to do with bullying than any form of negotiation.ViewDate:

Is marriage outdated?I do not think marriage is outdated. How can one describe marriage as fashionable or not. My parents were married over 70 years most members of my family have all being married over 30 years. The younger ones tend to live together. What I have noticed with the younger ones is that they seem to walk away from relationships very easily. One of them left his partner of 4 years and within a month was with someone else. I did wonder if he ever loved her, because if he did it would have taken more than a month to move on.ViewDate:

Are you concerned about the economic impact of Brexit? As we are as I write this still in the EU nobody really knows what the economic hit if their is one will be. All those on the side of remaining are all doom and gloom. While the Brexiters are all bout the positives. Their should be no second referendum that is not how democracy works. Member of Parliamnet on all sides should for once get of there lazy backsides work together to get this Country the best deal possible form the EU. Will they do that ,will they hell they are so selfish they only care about their own opinions and furthering there own political ambitions that the needs of the Country are the least of there concerns. A good deal is possible but not while our MP S behave like spolit children. Every one has different opinions , but should work together to get the job done.ViewDate:

Do you pay 5p for a plastic bag or take your own?I always take my own bags out shopping, and have now trated myself to a shoping trolley. When I was growing up people always had their own shopping bags, and would sometimes be given brown paper carry bags with their products. It is high time manufactures and people stopped using them. Same with drinks containers I would tax them not popular , use more glass bottles. I buy my milk in glass bottles, I recycle as much as possible and have stopped purchasing from companies whose packeaging I cannot recycle. My biscuit wrappers, spray guns from cleanerss and rooler balls from deorderants are all sent to Terra Cycle who reclye them and give me points which I donate to charity, they even come and pic them up as your house . It is about time people understood that each generation are the cartakers of this planet and we should look afterit. Not abuse it because we are too dam selfish to do the right thingViewDate:

Would you give up bacon?I personally do not eat bacon or sausages, but do buy it for other family members. I buy organic meat from a farm that does not use perseratives even those allowed in Organic faming. There is no way I would give m family sausages or bacon from the supermarket.ViewDate:

Should Theresa May stay or go?I think in a perfect world she should go, but we do not live in a perfect world and which one of those self serving baffons could replace her. Boris the clown, Hammond the insidious, Hunt the self serving . Sometimes Better the Devil You Know than The Devil you dont. Sad but true nearly all MPS on all sides of the house care little for enyone except themselves , and their own ambitions even if it is to the detriment of the people and the country. Shame on themViewDate:

Are gender neutral passports a step towards true equality, or a step too far?I would think in time their will be a gender netural passport as many countries are now adoting them. I am not really bothered by this , we live in a free country and if this makes people happy so be it.ViewDate:

Are the youth of today in too much of a hurry to turn grey?I Goddaughter dyed her hair grey, she said she loved it. When it grew out and she found she had real grey hairs she went mad. It is just another 5 minute wonder. I envy my friend who has lovely natural grey hair I am 60 plus and have no grey hairs and I bet when I do go grey it will be a saltand peper grey , shuch is lifeViewDate:

Should there be a financial incentive to recycle?I do not think there should be a financial reward for recycling, although as a child I remember taking glass bottles back to the cornor shop and getting a penny for returning them. Surley the welfare of the planet is more important than getting a financial reward. Some things are more important than money and surely looking afer our planet is one of themViewDate:

Does the Sandwich Generation need more support?I am lucky I my elderly father is very independent and looks after himself, although we visit him every day to see if he wants any thing or any help. He rarely does so we usually end up having tea and cakes and putting the world to rights. Also look after my toddler great great nephew every day and yes it can be tiring but to watch the great relationship that has developed between him and his great great grandfather over 93 years apart in age is a priceless gift.ViewDate:

Is “old” an age or an attitude? My father is 97 and says age is not important it is attitude to life that counts. He loves life , he cooks, bakes, makes his own bread does his own washing and ironing. Pops says you only have one life and if he can annoy somebody everyday then his living is not in vain. Like I said Buckets of Attitude and I would not have it any other way.ViewDate:

Should tackles and scrums be prohibited from school rugby fields? No it should not be banned. At the rate we are going the only sports our children are allowed to play will be tiddlywinks and then only if they wear protective gloves and googles. All sports have a element of danger, even fly fishing . We need to stop mollycoddling children and let them play these games and have fun. When I was at school I got knocked out by a rounder's ball. Things happen that's life as long as the games are supervised by people who know the rules then I see no problem.ViewDate:

Are relationship second chances ever a good thing?Maybe people can forgive, but can they forget. My neighbours husband cheated on her repeatedly even fathered a child with a neighbour. She would chuck him out ,few weeks later he would come crawling back.and they would be okay for a while till someone else took his fancy. she always forgave him because she loved him. In his own way he loved her but not enough to stay faithful.ViewDate:

Should we be trying to look younger than we are? Each to there own if people want to go down the plastic surgery route that is fine, although I do think once you start down that road there is no going back . My god daughter is a beautican and she tells me of ladies in there 20 having botex now for me that is sad. I think good skin is being lucky enough to have good genes. The best advice I got on skincare was. stay out of the sun drink plenty of fluids and use Organic skincare. I followed that advise for decades . My 96year old father has wonderful skin and when he was at the doctors the other day and the doc ask him his age the doc said are you sure you are 96 the doc thought he was in his 70s. I am following my fathers thinking which is always look on the bright side of life, and above all have fun and enjoy lifeViewDate:

Do you support the WI Plastic Soup campaign?I totally support this, I only use Organic products that do not contain these microbeads. The damage we are knowlingly doing to our oceans is terrible, makes me ashamed of the human race. We are the cartakers of the planet and should look after it to pass on to the next generation. Sadly the way we are treating our planet, there will not be much worth passing on.ViewDate:

Was life in the past preferable to today?I think life for children was much less complicated, family life seemed less stressful . As a child of those times we may not have had everything but we had everything that was important, We had a family life that today is under so much pressure. As mama was a housewife we were surrounded by love , extended family and our parents had time for us , something sadly due to the pressures of modern living a lot of children today miss out on. Money was tight, but we always had new outfits , a holiday at the seaside . Many things have improved like medicines. Looking back though without Rose Tinted Glasses I look back on the childhood my parents give me ,my brothers and sisters and am grateful for it, I would say it was better than lots of the local children ,who may have every gadget money can buy , but sadly they do not have the family unit I had.ViewDate:

Is smartphone dependence a problem or just the way of the future?I have a smart phone but am not a big user of it can go days and even weeks without using it. I do get annoyed when on public transport and all you can ear are parts of phone conversations. My elderly friend was having tea at my house. She said could I explain what she had overheard on a bus when a lady was having a conversation on her mobile. What followed was me having to explain she had overheard someone discussing a sex act. She was mortified my 28 year old God daughter was hysterical with laughter. When she had got over the shock my 90 year old friend said its true you do live and learnViewDate:

Are ‘non-competitive sports days’ really better for school children? When I was at school many many many decades ago, the school sports day was all about taking part, doing your best and having fun. One of the lessons we learnt was to accept we did not always win and the important thing was taking part. Some parents seem to thing that winning is everything and see not winning as a failure which is said, we all have to learn to loose at some point. Wrapping children in cotton wool means there in for one hell of a shock when they grow up and enter the real worldViewDate:

This for many people is a emotive subject and no one knows what really went on in the marriage of Charles and Diana. I do not thing either of them behaved in the right way. Sadly Diana is dead, life goes on . Sometimes I think people believe far too much off the stories so called friends of Diana put out.ViewDate:

Role of Grandparent - Disciplinarian or Fun Maker? My 96 year old papa is grandfather, greatgrandfather and great great grandfather and spends time with all his grandchildren who clearly adore him. He is a firm but fair grandfather as he was a parent. Everyweekend and holidays his house is full of his grand children ranging in age from 28 to 2. The house is Chaotic but the children know pops rules and and never cross the line. My sisterinlaws and I have always found it quite amazing how pops can cope with all these children and never raise his voice. i think another important thing is he is consent the rules do not change from day to day and the children know exactley were they stand, He is fun, caring and likes to earn new things from his grandchildren. They taught him gangland dancing last year.ViewDate:

Should the NHS stop funding IVF treatment?I think everyone should get 2 free rounds on the NHS. I knew a very well off couple who had 3 rounds on the NHS . Sadly this did not work. I asked them if they were going to continue and pay for treatment to my utter surprise they said no. They would have more treatment if it were paid for by NHS.but they would not pay . She said they had better things to do with the money like the cruise thet were going on which would last a couple of months. Made me wonder how much they really wanted a child.ViewDate:

The world will keep turning and life goes on.
