Safari holiday to KenyaLeslie: I wanted to make a suggestion regarding your interest in a safari and finding a traveling companion. I work with an orphanage in Tanzania and we have people from all over the world, volunteer for a week or two and then go on a safari in Tanzania. Since opening in 2012, we have had volunteers from 36 countries. It costs you $150 week to stay at our volunteer house and that includes your lodging and all your meals. We have an arrangement with a safari company that offers safari's to Serengeti and other areas for very reasonable prices. Good thing about it is that we always have volunteers that go on safari's so you always have someone to go with you. Check out the website, www.neemavillage.org. You will absolutely love it.ViewDate:

Travel partnerA friend and I will be traveling to Baltics with Krakow and visit to concentration camp in September. It is with Gate1 travel and offers 12 day Classic Baltics with Krakow for $2049 which includes air and land. However that is from the states. The land deal is $1449 so since you live in Europe, you might want to take just the land. If interested, go to www.gate1.com. I have used them for many trips and have always been pleased with their arrangements and accommodations. We are leaving Sept 23 from Dallas, Texas if you decide to join us.ViewDate:

New to SilversurfersHarriet: My name is Sue Hamby and I have a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University. I have been traveling internationally since 1967 and have been to all the continents and many of the different countries. I love to cruise and am looking for a travel partner. I have some friends that travel with me but they have found husbands so now are interested in traveling with their husbands. I am an active 80 year old. This year, I have already taken American Queen Steamboat trip from Nashville to New Orleans, been to London (solo), spent time volunteering in an orphanage in Tanzania, was in Australia in June, will be in Japan this month, in October will be in Poland, and November fly to London again and then sail back on Queen Mary II so you can see I am active. I am also an author and my latest book is "Turning Your Scars into Stars: A Journey from Mourning to Joy". I am also on You Tube if you type in Dr. Sue Hamby. It is not that I have a lot of money but know how to travel inexpensively. Name of book I am working on now is "Globetrotting 101: How to Travel More for Less". Also, I have a website, www.suehamby.com that you can contact me through. I have been married 61 years and am still married but my husband (age 82) is living in Indiana with his 42 year old girlfriend. although we are still friends.I live in Central Texas and I agree that you need to see our great state. I would be happy to hear from you. Sue
