cornish piskie showcase imageWhat a tonic! I love CornwalI. I love seeing fields of poppies - sadly an uncommon sight in England nowadays. What better combination?ViewDate:

Do you class yourself as physically active or inactive?I am very active in the domestic tasks sense. I rarely sit and do nothing but I don't enjoy' proper' walking in the open plus I have balance problems on anything except pavements. That suits me. I used to belong to an expensive club with gym machines and a swimming pool. Because of the money paid out I felt obliged to go at least 3 times a week! Funds for that have dried though. My duplex apartment is on the second and third floors of my block, no lift., so there are plenty of stair excursions.ViewDate:

Spring onion and feta frittataThe poached egg looks so lovely - I can almost taste it. A poached egg goes so well with asparagus, too. I have only recently turned out properly poached eggs. with confidence. Previously I had been using to much water I think, causing the white to break up. Also, a few drops of apple cider vinegar added to the water works well for me.ViewDate:

Do you spread butter or margarine on your toast?I did not vote as I might use butter (if I take it out of the fridge in time) or I might use a sunflower or one of the vegetarian spreads. I do not use hydrogenated fats. If my soup is shop bought, I add a little butter to it.ViewDate:

Should women over 50 have NHS funded fertility treatment? We keep hearing how the NHS is strapped for cash! How can this area keep getting necessary funding? Anyone who knows about children realises that it's a young woman's game. As the child grows towards 20 ....what then ?ViewDate:

What irritates you the most about mobile phone users? It appears to be an addiction. I wonder how a fair-sized family affords all latest new technology for every member.ViewDate:

Will you vote in the 2015 General Election?I forgot to say in my previous post that I am against postal voting because of the opportunities for fraud. There should be exemptions for the disabled or infirm of course, but what's wrong with the able-bodied having to go to the Polling Station in person? Even a spoiled ballot paper is better than not voting at all. I think those are counted in the turn-out.ViewDate:

Should smoking be brought back into pubs?If a pub has a Snug or what used to be the Public Bar, it would be helpful to allow smoking in those areas. So many of our traditional pubs are closing; the smoking ban is a contributory factor I believe.ViewDate:

Should wealthy pensioners receive state-funded benefits?Any means testing costs such a lot to do, so we are told. It is probably true. Also, everybody in receipt of the OAP spends it immediately whether it goes towards bills and food or is spent on luxury items by more affluent pensioners. That keeps money flowing perhaps to small businesses and shops. Quite a lot goes straight back to the Exchequer in the form of VAT. It is difficult to see the advantage when one considers how much money other benefit "reforms" have cost over the life of the Coalition. I would qualify but I still wouldn't like more forms to complete - and someone has got to look at and judge eveything received. I think money would be better spent on clamping down on corporation tax avoidance.ViewDate:

Are voters happy with the NHS?I am concerned about the money spent by the NHS on "bank" nursing. Either a person works for the NHS or they don't, i.e. set hours part or full time. I believe agencies take a hefty proportion of the hourly money earned by bank nurses. The clinics I have visited recently seem to manage on an ever-changing parade of professionals. Are they all qualified? There is no continuity in some clinic areas. Perhaps someone on here knows the ins and outs?ViewDate:

Will you vote in the 2015 General Election?I used to think that registered-to-vote foreign nationals could vote in local elections and referenda, but not General Elections, but recently heard a political programme which gave me the impression that foreign nationals could swing the vote. Have I missed something?ViewDate:

Win an escorted coach holiday for two!Single rooms for all - wonderful! I have a friend in mind. She is a great companion but as she now lives far away on the Kent coast I don't see so much of her.
