Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?Does anyone else find the minimum spend that supermarkets set for online shopping difficult to reach making one buy unnecessary items that aren’t needed to reach the set spend? Anywhere between £40-£60. I only began online shopping in November because I was confined to home having had a hand operation. Initially buying wasn’t too bad, I made up my basket with washing liquid and dry goods but now I’ve had my other hand done and not driving again I find reaching the target quite difficult. I’m a single household and don’t need stuff simply to reach a target figure yet I’m dependent on deliveries of daily basic items approximately every couple of weeks. I was confined to home Nov-Jan, drove for two weeks and now it’s Feb. to end of April. Then I guess there’ll be 4 months compulsory self isolation. I have no one who can shop for me or neighbours I could ask. My ipad is my best friend, along with my dog, It looks like I’m probably going to be home alone for the best part of totalling 9months when I can’t just shop online spending unnecessary money just to make up a basket of goods. Perhaps £25-30 is more realistic. Would welcome other’s views. Thank you.ViewDate:
