Toys of the 50s and 60sI had a Bako set which I loved. I built houses with brick tiles you slid down rods anchored in a peg boards. Kind of a forerunner to lego,ViewDate:

In Pictures: Dazzling display marks 100 years of RAFI was there having made a last minute decision to go with my daughter. We are so glad we did and the highlight (the Reds a given!) was the 100 formation of Typhoons. Whilst a blue backdrop would have made prefect photos the cloud was a positive in that it cooled the temperature down to a comfortable level which in the last month has been unbearable. As soon as the sky cleared when we returned home it was back indoors to keep cooler.ViewDate:

Do you drink a cup of coffee every day?I just prefer coffee to tea and is my hot drink of choice. In summer I have cold drinks so maybe only a morning coffee. I do not feel any need of coffee per say or I wouldn`t be able to go through the day without in summer. I am fed up with "experts" telling us the benefits or otherwise of certain foods and drinks then doing a 360 a few years later!! Moderation in all things and a little treat every so often.ViewDate:

Are you affected by SAD?I have suffered from SAD for decades usually from October to March. Some years I can almost feel a switch going off in Oct! I think it is like a kind of hibernation which we have to fight as humans. I usually ride it out and this winter`s mild weather has helped with coping. Luckily I can now feel the "dimmer switch" turning up again and in a few weeks will be back to normal. ( whatever that is!) ;-)ViewDate:

Should there be a legal age limit for leaving a child home alone?I thought 14 was already law. Like so many "age" laws you have to chose a line and there are always going to be people that fall either side ! I think 18 for looking after a young child and 14 for staying home alone for a few hours but the operative word is "alone" not with a gang of friends.!ViewDate:
