Do you think money skills should be taught in school?Thinking about the budget, please remember that your car’s depreciation is the tax that is not reinvested in childcare or education. Children should also learn, that when a bill arrives, they will not budge it, Until they’ve learned to budget. Also learning about contingency funding. ❤️ With a bit of imagination you can teach budgeting to a 3year old using their currency, 14 smarties, and days of the week with mornings and afternoons drawn on paper. Share out the smarties, and let them eat one or two, telling them what has happened to the afternoon/morning, now one is missing. It works - and, next day “Mum/Dad, can I play the smartie game now ?” How can you refuse ?❤️ViewDate:

Do you agree with the decision to axe HS2 northern leg?Looking ahead at modes of transport, HS2 would become obsolete long before our children have paid for it. Urban and short haul air mobility is now on the horizon, and city airports that have not been redeveloped will be used for eVTOL vehicles. And with hydrogen powered versions of electric power, the noise levels will not be an issue.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner Comments“Lateral Thinking, is viewing ‘things’ from different perspectives, and the shadows they cast, in different lights” It is child’s play. The concept requires gender diversity.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsEducating for Autonomy We are conceived and born on this Earth, and to become married to it, and mature on it, we must engage with it and all that is on it, with all of our senses ? To engage with and marry only a artificial intelligence and its algorithms, one only matures as an apparition.? If brains were apps, would we use them more ? Any thoughts ??ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsThose who are “Time Poor” in their working career now, chasing a lifestyle, according to research, will be “Time Poor” in retirement, as the increasing health issues in this sector will require more time dealing with those health issues as they age !ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsShould a CONVERSATIVE political party be founded ? Thinking differently and engaging in Conversations(the most charitable word in the English language) Based on Respect : for oneself, all other people, The Earth and it’s elements. and Understanding: through “Listening”(with All senses), Learning, Thinking, and taking into account what has been Learned. In order to combine Politics, Religion and Culture, by Communicating through the Educational STREAM of Life. In order to Love Life, and ALL that is in it. Philip Noble BEd(Hons)ViewDate:

Could you give up your car?I gave up driving 6 years ago. With bus pass, and a bit of planning, plus conveniently chosen house, travel costs are almost zero. Online supermarket shopping, delivered into my kitchen costs £1 per week. Cost of diesel? alternatives are: Die or Sell !ViewDate:

Could you give up your car?I gave up driving 6 years ago( now 82). I walk, and bus, and stopped overseas holidays( but still taxiing ). Transport costs almost zero. It’s more fulfilling lateral thinking, when linear travelling by bus. No anxiety either, in the evolving normals post Covid.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsI am at last able to visit 96 year old friend in a care home, following temporary continuing lockdown due to staff contracting Covid. He has been bored through lack of conversation. The most important commodity lacking in care homes. Staff, usually from overseas, and/or with a disconnect of age, cannot reminisce with residents. Having also, when asking a longtime friend of a resident, why they have not visited, received the reply, “Oh when people go into care homes, they get Dementia . Don’t forget your friends, and don’t rely on “faceless authorities” to do it for you. Take a few photos, favourite sweets, a joke or two, encourage them to reminisce, and always leave them smiling. You will be welcome by managers. Give it a go, you’ll enjoy itViewDate:

Could you give up your car?I gave up my car for health reasons 6 years ago, and have no regrets, and with a bus pass, no transport costs. They are almost zero. I was born the same day as BOAC was formed. Pleased to say I’M still taxiing! Travelling by bus is linear travel. Thinking whilst on it is consequently LATERAL. Very useful when considering the issues of the day, and allows me to continue my own evolution. Life is infinite, my life is finite, so I’ll enjoy it while I can, and in the meantime get fulfilment by passing on the benefits of my experiences to the younger generations(politics excluded) !
